You are the tough-as-nails entrepreneur that is kick-butt at what you do.
You are creative, and interesting. You are passionate and have a rock-solid idea behind you. You have a cool name and “come from”. Your business is on the verge of blowing up.
If you think that was intuitive, here’s what else I know: you could use a little help.
With nearly 20 years of online business experience under my belt, I’ve learned a lot of lessons. But if there’s one lesson that stands out from the pack, it’s that there’s no reason to go it alone. You might be behind your computer all day solo-style, but there are thousands of resources at your, literal, fingertips.
So what’s the issue?
How do you know who’s the best fit to help your business flourish?
When I am not running online businesses, I am heading up the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce – mama bear for over 400 local businesses. I have the opportunity, every day, to work in a meaningful way with small business owners in my community – of course sharing my virtual tips along the way.
If you do not know what a Chamber of Commerce is, here’s the quick and dirty. A Chamber of Commerce is a form of business network whose goal is to further the interests of businesses.
There are many ways to do that, but one of the primary ways is to ensure that the folks in our membership are top-notch. We give our seal of approval each and every time we vote in a new member, and in addition to the services and support we provide to the business owner, in return, the business gives us their guarantee to constantly and never-endingly strive for marketplace trust.
In short – if your customer service stinks, or you didn’t give me that refund that you promised, and I call the Chamber to complain, you run the risk of being removed from the membership.
I know what quality service looks like. I get meeting and exceeding expectations. And I will not settle for anything less.
